Hello Alpha brings weight management into an online medical service that also lists women’s health and mental-health care. Its weight-loss page currently advertises $79 per month. That is a membership price: it is not a quote for a month of GLP-1 medicine or evidence that scheduled psychotherapy is included.
We reviewed Hello Alpha’s rendered weight-loss and membership pages alongside its homepage and terms on October 15, 2026. This is a public-document review, with no patient enrollment, clinician interaction or pharmacy test. The most useful distinctions are what the plan covers, what requires a separate payment, and how to stop the next renewal.
A useful starting point
Hello Alpha directs weight-loss patients to its $79-per-month Plus+ membership, with four online visits per month. Medication and some other services cost extra. The site advertises cancel-anytime flexibility, while its terms require cancellation at least five days before the scheduled renewal charge.
Weight-loss care is presented under Plus+
The current membership page lists Plus+ at $79 per month with four online visits, and Basic at $29 with two. The dedicated weight-loss page explicitly directs patients to Alpha Plus+. The lower homepage price should therefore not be substituted for the quoted weight-management plan. Check the exact plan, included conditions and visit allowance before enrollment.
Hello Alpha describes appointment-free online visits and messaging with a dedicated provider. A patient submits health information, a clinician assesses it and a treatment plan follows if appropriate. Four visits per month does not establish four video sessions or four therapy appointments. Ask what counts as a visit, how additional requests are billed and when synchronous care might be required.
Membership is separate from the medicine and its approval decision
The weight-loss page says Hello Alpha prescribes FDA-approved medications and displays brand-name options such as Wegovy, Zepbound and Foundayo. It distinguishes insurance or cash-pay pathways and, for some products, manufacturer fulfillment. We did not verify the assigned pharmacy, current stock, personal eligibility or a guaranteed drug price.
The site says membership does not guarantee a prescription. The clinician’s judgment and the product’s indication still matter, including when a listed diabetes medicine is being discussed for weight management. A brand list is not a recommendation to switch medicines or evidence that all products are interchangeable. There is no individualized medication or dosing advice in this review.
The membership fee does not settle prescription, laboratory or other separately billed costs. Free medication shipping, where offered, is a delivery benefit rather than free medication. Ask for the full financial picture: clinician access, drug price at the intended pharmacy, any required tests, and the cost of care beyond the plan’s allowance.
Insurance help is limited to the medication pathway
Hello Alpha’s FAQ says medical and membership fees are not billed to insurance, while some pharmacies may accept insurance for medication. Prior authorization and a preferred pharmacy can affect access and out-of-pocket cost. Assistance with paperwork does not establish approval, coverage or a continuing copay. The weight-loss FAQ says Alpha cannot process prior authorization for certain diabetes medicines used off-label for obesity when the patient does not have type 2 diabetes. It also says an insurance denial, or inability to process authorization because requirements are not met, does not make the Plus+ plan fee refundable.
The membership FAQ also says Medicare, Medicaid and other state- or federally funded plans cannot be used for prescriptions written by an Alpha provider; cash payment may be needed if the plan permits it. Confirm that restriction with the service and your insurer before paying. HSA or FSA language should likewise be checked against your specific account rules rather than treated as reimbursement already approved.
A broad service menu does not define the mental-health visit
Hello Alpha describes clinicians trained in women’s health and sex differences, and its FAQ says many services can also treat men and people assigned male at birth. Weight-loss services are for adults 18 and older, subject to state law. The site’s availability language does not replace confirmation that the assigned clinician can provide your requested care where you are located.
The Plus+ card lists mental health alongside weight management and other conditions. It does not establish an included course of psychotherapy. Clarify whether the proposed service is medical assessment, prescription management, counseling, referral or a separate therapy appointment. If you already have a therapist or prescriber, ask how records and follow-up responsibilities will be coordinated.
Messaging can be submitted around the clock, but 24/7 access to a message box is not a verified immediate clinical response. Ask about normal response windows, refill planning and what to do when a problem requires urgent or in-person care. Hello Alpha’s terms identify the platform as a technology and administrative service, with clinical decisions made by healthcare providers.
Cancel-anytime language has a five-day renewal condition
The membership page describes monthly plans without a minimum commitment and says fees are nonrefundable. The terms state that plans automatically renew and require cancellation at least five days before the next scheduled charge. They describe a 30-day benefit period, which is not always the same as a calendar month.
The cancellation instructions are specific: sign in, choose Account, then Plan and Payment and Plan Details. Options include changing, pausing for a month or canceling the plan; the terms say a cancellation confirmation email follows. Access continues through the current billing period. Save that confirmation and the next-charge information rather than assuming an unanswered message has ended renewal.
The terms say a renewal notice is sent five days before the next date, while monthly fees are nonrefundable once charged. A request to stop future months should not be confused with a refund of a charged month or a medication purchase. Ask support about any separate prescription fulfillment or recurring pharmacy arrangement.
Questions that remain before deciding
Hello Alpha publishes patient stories and a weight-loss average. We did not examine the underlying patient dataset or verify the representativeness of those outcomes. Those claims are not a clinical score in this review, and they cannot predict an individual result. We also did not independently audit clinician licensing, actual response times or medication delivery.
Before paying, confirm the correct plan, state eligibility, visit format and full prescription cost. Then ask for the renewal date, five-day cutoff and the scope of mental-health support in writing. The consultation guide linked below can help separate a medical check-in from the therapy relationship you may want alongside it.
Common questions
Is the $29 Basic price the weight-loss plan price?
The dedicated weight-loss page directs patients to the $79 Plus+ plan. Confirm current enrollment details; do not assume the lower Basic headline covers weight-management care.
Are GLP-1 medicines included in the $79 fee?
The fee is for membership and clinical access. Medication and other separately billed services require their own price and eligibility checks.
How early do I need to cancel?
The terms require at least five days before the next scheduled renewal charge. The account flow offers cancellation and says it sends an email confirmation; monthly fees already charged are nonrefundable.
